Is it possible to live a quit and private life in the world we live in today?
Well I guess it just depends on what your own definition of private is. It depends on the season of life you are in, how you view the world, what your job is, and so much more.
To some, privacy is something so important especially in 2023 where social media is the way of life for most individuals. But living a private life is possible just takes discipline and awareness.
So here are some tips on how to live a private life in todays world. First topic of discussion: Social Media.
If you have social media there is nothing wrong with that and you can still live a completely private life with it still in your life.
Few key things to remember:
- 1. make sure to check your privacy settings to make sure your personal information (email, phone, etc.) is private
-2. limit the amount of posts you post and the things you share. If they are reposts that is one thing, but if they are posts about your Friday night plans with your fiancé and 3 of your best friends with the date, time, location then try to avoid that. (again remember this one way you can live a private life)
3. just remember anyone can use any information you put out there.
4. and if those 3 above tips don't help enough, then deactivate and move on stress free.
Off of social media you can live a private life very easily. Here is the secret: The less you say and share, the less issues, drama, or invasions there will be in life. Now of course share all the good and bad with those you trust and are truly genuinely caring. Try to avoid sharing things with those who are just curious. Most people in today's world are more curious than caring so just keep that in mind.
Today, everyone thinks if they ask a question it is valid enough to expect an answer. Hold your ground and understand that you do not owe anyone any explanation. If you ever find yourself in that awkward position, try to work your way around the question without directly answering it, or be direct in not wanting to share/tell that information right now.
Today it is hard to be private in a social media and high expectations from others. But I promise it is doable and all you have to do is stick to what you want for you and your family and to keep those you trust close.
